For Buyers

By completing the Contact Business Owner form on BusinessForSale.im you authorise us to send an email on your behalf to the seller of the business or franchise that you have enquired to. The business owner will contact you directly.

For Sellers and Wanted Listings

Should you wish to advertise your business for sale, partnership , business opportunity or wanted listing, we will require you to provide some personal information which you agree to supply to us accurately. By accepting the Terms and Conditions on the Business Listing form, you expressly consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect and store the following:

  • Personal information – Your name, email address, physical address, telephone numbers, and your business information.
  • Financial information – All payment details are passed directly to our payment provider. We do not store your credit card / charge card / debit card details. Although high level encryption is used to securely transfer your payment details to our payment service provider, PayPal, we cannot fully guarantee the safety of your financial details from unauthorized access, which may occur before or during the transaction process.
  • Standard web log information  – Computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, ad data and IP addresses. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Children

We do not intentionally collect any information on children under 16 years of age. We will undertake to delete any details of such children where a parent or guardian has notified us that any such details have been obtained.

How we use your information

The primary reason we collect your personal information is to process enquiries, registrations and subscriptions. We do not send unsolicited  emails using details supplied to us. We offer a separate email subscription to latest listings from the sidebar of our website.

If you are a buyer we will pass some or all of your details on to the seller along with any message you have typed. This allows the seller to contact you in order to pursue a possible sale of a business;

If you are a seller, we will disclose your details as selected in the Business Listing form;

  • Public Listing – your business name and photos visible
  • Private Listing – your business name and photos sent by email on request
  • Confidential Listing – no business name or photos

Direct email addresses and telephone numbers will not be publicly displayed on the website unless you specifically include it on your profile.

We use web log information to analyse trends, administer the site, monitor website usage and to manage our advertiser relationships .

Security

Your information is stored on our servers located in the EU. We protect data using a variety of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure. However, no method of security is 100% effective and while we take every measure to protect your personal information, we make no guarantees of its absolute security.
